Video options > display settings : showing wrong monitor info

Hey! I was thinking of setting jriver up to do video as well as audio and I can't get the display settings to show me the right monitor. I'm on the "latest" version of the 64bit MC 23.

It isn't a huge issue as I know you can get madvr to change the display mode of the monitor but I would like to set it in JRiver. The problem is that no matter which monitor the window is on it only shows the info for my #1 monitor, giving me options for 144hz but not for 24hz like the tv plugged in via hdmi is capable of.

Is the a way you could add the option to choose which monitor the video will play on? Or am I missing something here, thanks!

I wasn't trying to use any detatched window. I was trying to use just the regular media center window, it's weird that when the media center window and it's settings window are all on my tv but it's showing me the resolutions and hz settings from my 144hz monitor in the settings.

Try changing them on the TV, too.  The settings should be independent.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. I'll try this again.

I have 2 monitors plugged in, one supports 1080p23hz,24hz,30hz,60hz, the other supports 1080p60hz,75hz,100hz, 120hz, 144hz.
I only see the options for the latter monitor under: Tools, Options..., Video> Display Settings: Custom .....
In these settings I have the options of 1080p60hz-144hz.

Both outputting at 1080p, 144hz for the one capable and 60hz for the other. The 144hz monitor the primary monitor.

All I'm asking is why doesn't the automatic change mode give me options for my other monitor when that's the screen the application is run on.
