JRiver Media Center 23.0.74 for Mac
bMinor:
the text inside the tag window has somewhat shifted to the right wasting quite a bit of blank space on the left (requiring to make the tag window bigger than neccessary)
aliciaviola:
I was looking forward too early: MC still crashes in the new version with special characters.
Try "cmd-k", insert "é" and MC will crash.

You can find out by going to Help > System Info... and checking what Background Tools Running there are, if any.

PROBLEM SOLVED
Thank you for the help! Here is what I found:
System Info
Processing
Thumbnails Built: 100% (23026 of 23026)
Audio Analyzed: 58% (13204 of 22953)
Background Tools Running
No tools currently running
There was no progress in Audio Analyzed files in several days while CPU consumption was at 100%. Attempt to quit Media Player or Media Server caused the process to become "not responding". Restart gets CPU back to 100%.
Removing option of analyzing audio on import resolved the problem. CPU utilization is low now.
Possible cause: when I upgraded to version 23 JRiver started scanning default iTunes folder, which I don't want to be in the library. I changed folders to monitor for auto-import and excluded iTunes folder. As a result, I got some duplicates in the library, which is another question I need to ask. Is it possible that JRiver trying to analyze the audio for the files that are no longer listed as part of the library and it caused a deadlock?
Any advice on how to remove duplicates is appreciated!

MacBob:
