Help! I've lost the left navigator column!
« on: November 15, 2017, 10:01:00 pm »

All I can see is the "Welcome to JRiver Media Center" window.  There is no column to the left, that should show:

Playing Now
Audio
Images
Etc.

Action Window

Did I inadvertently toggle toggle this column off?  How do I get it back?

I have the most recent version installed (22.0.110).  My Startup Interface options are:
Location: Start
Mode: Standard View
Show Action Window
Show Tree

Thanks in advance!

Put on your glasses. The good ones. You'll need them to be able to see the "Disclosure triangles" that hide and display several components of the MC interface.

Then read this: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,104415.msg726188.html#msg726188

and the second part of this: https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Disclosure_triangle for a general background.

Double clicking a divider will also open or close a panel in the interface, and you can always hover over the divider until you find the left/right arrow, then click and drag the panel open or closed.

I see the disclosure triangles, and I see the right/left arrows at the divider.

But clicking the disclosure triangles or dragging the arrows changes nothing!

Looks like something is definitely wrong with my installation.

On either of the two triangles on the left vertical.  On the vertical itself.  Clicking, hold and dragging on the right/left arrows that pop up on the left vertical.

Nothing!

I've installed Media Center 23 and I see how the behavior with the disclosure triangles is supposed to work.  I can open and close the navigator panel easily.

I notice in my Media Center 22 that the disclosure triangles on the far left are pointed left.  In Media Center 23 when the navigator panel is hidden, the disclosure triangles on the vertical bar point to the right.

I guess I need just to give up on Media Center 22 and upgrade to Media Center 23!

It's likely that you're just not hitting the right spot.  Hover a mouse over the left edge.  The cursor should change.  Make sure the window is not full screen.
