I recently upgraded my PC to a HP Z440 running Win10Pro from a Z400 on Win7Pro, and I am now have problems with sporadic internet ads interrupting while playing audio. This never happened while using previous MC18-23 on Win7 machines, and I thought MC would actively block any outside sounds when listening to music or video. I have looked through the Audio Options and have not seen any setting to effect this.
Besides my PC and OS change, my Audio Device has changed:
My DAC/Pre, Audio GD NFB-28 USB interface, VIA USB32, does not work with Win10, so I am using the Z440 audio, Realtek High Definition Audio, analog output to my DAC/Pre to drive my Focal CMS50 active monitors. I have been in email contact with the Audio GD NFB-28 designer and will probably change the USB board to an XMOS U208 based interface, which will work with Win10.
Is my problems due to a MC setting? A Win10 setting? Or is it due to using internal Z440 D/A?
I expect that this is simple setting of some sorts, but what is it?
Thanks!
