i bought mj8 in june 2002. cost for mj9?

i bought mj8 last june for the $24.98 price. how much do i pay to upgrade to mediacenter 9? a email said it was under $12.98? how much under? ken.

It's minus $12.98 for you.  There is no cost.  Your version 8 license will work with Media Center.

so right now the beta version is available. can i wait till the full release version is available, and then download it for free? does it ask me for my licence from mj8? and if i enter it then i get the full functional version, if i understand correctly. sorry for being so dense on this, but to me it seems a little foggy.  ken.
