.TS files from DVR - MC will play them, but not import?

As the title says really, I am able to get .ts files from my DVR onto my NAS.

I can right click the files and play them fine with any media player (including MC), but when I try to import them into MC it is as though they don't exist. No errors, no info, just 'imported 0 new files'.

Any ideas how I can get these files to appear in my library?

Two possibilities.

Auto Import needs to be configured to import the file type.  Add folders or edit them.

or

They have been imported but are under the wrong media type.  Try a search.

Thanks Jim, that is a bit odd.

I was wanting to import a folder that WASN'T set up in auto-import, but the settings were all correct - shouldn't it have imported the new directory, regardless of auto-import?

Nevertheless, problem solved by auto-importing the new directory, thank you!  ;D
