MC hang on playlist creation
« on: January 07, 2018, 10:39:12 am »

MC23 hangs on playback after playlist is created within MC23 or EOS (Android). Note that there is audio playback but JRiver does not respond, just the circle cursor is shown.

Playlist created is multiple artist and albums of 400 tracks in WAV format @ roughly 40MB file size per track.

Memory playback selected - all three tried and tested file/album (not decoded and decoded)

Note we have not experienced this issue with prior versions only after upgrading to MC 23.0.91.

Lenovo Thinkpad W530 - Core i7, 32GB, 512GB SSD, Win 10 Pro (Version 1709, OS Build 16299.192)

Please have a look and advise.

Try a short playlist.

Turn off memory playback.

Antivirus?

Hi Jim - compliments of the season to you and loved ones.

Yes short playlist works

Memory playback turned off and get the same issue

No 3rd party AntiVirus Prog - using only build-in MS Virus Protection

I downgraded to version MC 23.0.84 and reset memory playback with the long playlist and std AV setting it works 100%

Definitely a problem somewhere in MC 23.0.91

I'm sorry.  I can't explain what you're seeing.  You could try progressively bigger lists until it fails.  It could be a specific file.
