Updated my old thread on the subject, but that's now buried in a defunct sub-forum now.

Old (but updated) Thread:  Animated Gifs

Summary:  In v.20, animated gifs didn't animate.  In v.23, now they don't display at all!  Is this a known issue?

Really?? Yay! This is great, particularly with new smart phones now often creating burst gifs from a series of still photos.

I just found an old request for this from 2006:

Certainly not a burning issue... but I like to tell people that MC is still "the one that plays them all"

Side note ~ I'm pretty sure this has been mentioned in the past, but animated GIFs open as regular images, but aren't animated.
