After about a year with 20 channel and 10 different DAC, I have expanded to 48 channels via 24 zones. JRiver works flawlessly. If not for the i7 at 31%, I would add another 32 channels.

I am very impressed and aim to do something similar.
1. When you say "in perfect synch.," are you referring to any measurements that demonstrate this or are you judging from listening?
2. What is your process?  I would assume that you are linking the multiple individual outputs, playing a single signal to all but setting up different DSP for each?

Yes, I used REW but except for the subwoofer the rest of channels were meant to reproduce the convoluted sound where a difference of 40ms would not be audible. But for the sake of perfection, it is always a good idea to get the sync correct by using the REW. I posted somewhere here. Let me look up for the link. Except for the main and rear, the rest is SIR2 convolution engine DSP.
