How to tell MC that all files have been moved to new disk?
« on: April 26, 2018, 02:53:17 pm »

I've researched this as best I can, but cannot get a clear answer to what should be an easy task.

I had all of my music files and meta-data on a portable HD.  The music files are all in a single folder on that disk.  I copied all of the content of that disk intact to a NAS disk.  Now I need to tell MC to find the folder and files on z: instead of e:.  How do I do this please?

Thanks.

MC has a Find and Replace tool.

You want to use the Rename, Move, and Copy Tool (F6) in the "Update database to point to new location" mode.
There, you can set up a renaming rule (most likely using find & replace) to change the old filenames to match the new filenames.
