Move/Copy Disk File...  Question
« on: June 11, 2003, 06:25:18 am »

Using MC 9.1.196

Is there a way to select a group of songs (files) and have them copy or move to their own ARTIST/ALBUM directory?  I was sure I saw this function somewhere before (maybe MC9.0).  Thanks!!!

It's under tools/library tools/rename files from properties.

Try a few before you do a lot.

Hey Jim,

Thanks for the quick response.  Still got a small problem though (I do that is).  I'm trying to copy a bunch of MP3s from one of my CDs to my HD.  They are not sorted on the CD but do have their ID3 tag info.  I wanted to copy them to their own ARTIST/ALBUM directory on the HD.  It would be a nice feature to have in the Move/Copy disk file... popup.  I was able to copy all the files to the HD then use the rename from file properties as you suggested; that worked quite well.  Thanks again!!!
