Hi

I am new to JRiver and am using MC23 on Windows 10 Pro. All of my CD's are ripped using dbpoweramp. Occasionally i correct the genre using Windows (7 Pro) Explorer right-click and Edit ID-Tag.

I then end up with two problems;

1. JRiver still shows the CD in the wrong genre. I have set it to "update on external changes" but it still doesn't show the changes. [I want to correct this within native Windows and not add another layer of proprietary changes].

2. I've got some CDs that show in the genres preview, but when i click on the genre and scroll around some CDs are not there. This seems really odd and is unrelated to the genre edit above [the missing CDs were not touched].

Any help with these two problems is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.  On a "missing" CD, check the tags for Album and Album Artist.
