The Big Improvance
« on: June 02, 2003, 01:53:20 pm »

I have some ideas that would make Media Center a big Deal! :)

1- improving speed of media editor (its very slow when zooming in) and putting some advanced controls in it such as pop/clicks filters
2-VCD Support
3-Recording from line-in (better a small red record button on the player) :)
4-tv-tuner support for certain countries like EGYPT, and fine tunning property
5-we need more skins and track info pages :)
6-adding something better than artist/album for videos that would be better with movie files not just video clips

anyone wanna discuss .. i would be glad :)

Agreed, I however don't like to mess with them since there is none that have animated GIF's with lightning or high voltage shorting out controls and buttons

Regarding 3)...

If you mean quicker access to the Line In record function then right click on the MC toolbar...choose Customize then send the Record Sound function to the right column. It will then appear on your toolbar.

Regarding 5)...

The skin SDK is available here somewhere, so get busy. The King and I will beta test it 4 u.

Just remember...if you build it, they will come, they'll come to Iowa, for reasons I can't even fathom

You can create as many custom fields as you want and name them anything you want.

My sister has brought back a couple decent sized bags from northern Iowa. It's really not too far from you...

Just follow the Mississippi to Praire Du Chen, WI. Now take a right across the river to Iowa. Go straight to Mononna. From there go west 40 furlongs til you see the deer carcass on the road. Take a right. After going about 4,400 fathoms you should see an eagle's nest in a pine tree. At this point your very close. There will be a series of turn offs...take them in this order..left, right, left, right, left, left, right. After the last right, park your car (it as far as a vehicle can go). You must now walk about 800 chains to the north. After which...your there!..your in morel country!

My sister mistakenly mowed over two (I cried) outside her house in the city (Davenport) near her ferns. I looked in the ferns and found an 8 incher. Sauteed it and along with a phat T-bone steak that I had broiled...I got down! Alas, I personally only found 1 this year. Next year I'll do better...I'll send you some if you would like.

No she's not...and she thinks computers and the geeks in front of them are very cool. She'd like you, I'm sure. Keep in mind that a dowry is a custom in my family, that is...if you guys got REAL serious.

40 furlongs = 26,400' or 5 miles

4,400 fathoms = also 5 miles

..left, right, left, right, left, left, right = Who knows? ... Let's assume that it's also 5 miles

800 chains = 52,800' or 10 miles

That's a lot of going for a mushroom.

On the other hand, they ARE quite delicious.

The dowry is negotiated at the time that the marriage contract is signed (in this case, by the bride, groom, and all immediate family members on the bride's side). The Uno clan traditionally has had Johnnie Cochran perform these functions and he, in fact, would be the Master of Ceremony.

Jim...you two are going to get along great! :D

C...you are good! (but next time it's going to be ALOT tougher)

And you haven't even seen the Sphinx's tail. Millions of pictures of the sphinx, and nobody bothered taking a pic of the tail.

2-VCD Support

Yeah, this has been what I wanted for a long time. :) I was told that they are looking to better support for VCD but so far  no luck for me.

Also, does anybody knows why when I play dvd with MC it seems to be a bit jerky? I got intervideo windvd installed on my computer and I have no problem playing dvd with it but when I play with MC, it seems to jerk quite a bit.

ToMy00,

All you need to do is set up a new view scheme using your custom fields.  Right click on the video category and then click add new view scheme.  My video view scheme for series is like so : Series/Series Number/Episode Number - the display is set to show Series|Series Number|Episode Number|Name.

Just fiddle about with custom fields and view schemes and you can pretty much sort it any way you like.  Hope this helps.  Ask if you need any more explanation,

NoCodeUK,
you dont seem to get me..
if you tried to add a new scheme , it will ask you to add a new scheme from a list which is the id tag properties items
so you can for example add : Actor/Movie ;)

tomy00,

You are right I don't get you.  Why can you not create a view scheme for actor / movie??  This is perfectly possible using custom tags.  Create the tags, use a lit type for actor if necessary, create a view scheme Actor/ Movie the tree would be propogated this -

Schwarzeneggar
       - The Terminsator
       - T2
Harrison Ford
       - Star Wars
       - Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

Where does this id come into it??
If you could explain better what you mean I may be able to help you but as far as I can tell there is nothing that cannot be created with a bit of tweaking of custom tags and view scheme properties

You have to buy a TV tuner card that supports SECAM_B TV standard for Egypt.
