MC24 has started crashing (again)
« on: November 29, 2018, 10:54:03 am »

And I can't find what the fix is. Seem to recall I had this error code in a previous version as well.

If you could post a log after the crash we'd have a better shot at finding it.  Look here for information:

It is probably a video driver problem.  Try a Google search for ig9icd64.dll.

The crash is directly in the Intel graphics driver. I would recommend updating it as a first step.
Also, any explanation what you were doing when the crash occured would be helpful!

Yep, I noticed there are new Intel drivers available. Will update and report back. Crashes have been while just idle in Theater mode.

Which brings me back to why I was using that old driver in the first place - any Intel driver after that results in a black screen after starting JRiver in Theater Mode. Now running driver 25.20.100.6444. Any suggestions?
edit: Right, that may have been down to Madvr. Is there a recommended setting for ROHQ used on Intel onboard graphics?
Edit2: Seems to have sorted itself after uninstalling Madvr, deleting madvr from the plugins folder and letting JRiver reconfigure it. I'll continue to monitor for crashes :-)
Looking good:

Try using the latest version of Media Center (24.0.65), we drastically changed how MC renders Theater View quite recently.

Since the upgrade to MC24 I´ve experienced frequent crashes, mostly when editing tags of my music files.
This happens on my two PCs
1. i5 Acer Notebook with 16GB RAM 1TB internal SSD and two USB3.0 HD (8 and 5TB) / NOD32 Anti-virus with exceptions configured for all JRiver execs and program folders
2. i3 Desktop with 16GB RAM 256 M2.SSD and two USB3.0 HD (8 and 5TB) without any 3.rd party anti-virus (only W10 Defender firewall)
Since I´m importing a significant amount of new albums these crashes are really annoying.
I´m attaching the MC log and would be grateful if someone could send me some advice :)

Try uninstalling Norton and rebooting.  We're not seeing general stability problems right now.

Here's part of the "Previous Log".  It looks like MC is analysing a dsf file from a network drive.  Could you provide more details?  Are you importing from a network drive?

If so, you could try transferring files using the OS first, then importing.
