newbie ripping questions
« on: December 03, 2018, 06:51:13 pm »

Hello everyone. I've got a stack of cds that I want to rip using jriver. I've never done this before and I'm not entirely sure how it works... so my apologies for my newbie questions.
Once I rip a cd where is it stored? Can I store it on google drive? Or is stored on the jriver media drive? I'd like to be able to access the music with my android at a later date. How does this work?
Thank you!

Welcome to the forum.  Just put a CD in the drive and click on Rip in the Action Window (lower left corner).  The files will be stored locally.  The location is in MC's options for File Locations.

Ripping to Google Drive may not be possible.

You can access with Android, using Gizmo or JRemote.

The wiki has a topic on Remotes and one on CD Ripping.

Try waiting a little longer.  It takes about 30 seconds for the disc to spin up.

Okay I've ripped the CD. It plays on my laptop. I've gotten the access key for jremote on my android. How do I listen to the ripped CD on my phone? I selected "This device" in available zones but the ripped CD isn't there...

Beware any default settings

I would use FLAC for everything it gives a 100% copy of the CD . DO NOT SLIP and use MP3
