Micromega MyDAC settings
« on: December 06, 2018, 07:44:33 pm »

Thanks to a remodeling project, I lost a lot of my office space and found that my current DAC no longer fits on my desk's available spot.  I dug out a much smaller Micromega MyDAC from storage and connected it to my Windows 10 computer.  After I installed drivers, W10 recognizes the MyDAC, declares it to be the default sound device, and plays the test signals properly.  Thus far, though, I can't figure out how to set up JRiver to play anything through it unless I use the Micromega Direct Sound drivers.

I can choose either the Micromega ASIO or WASAPI drivers in the options, but I don't know what other settings to use.  I have changed my previous DAC's DSD-related settings to no output encoding and bitstreaming to none.  Anything else that I need to do in order to use the ASIO or WASAPI driver?

You may need to select the specific device in MC's options for Audio.  The wiki has a topic on Audio Setup.

Thanks. I never think to check the wiki.
