Wierd Problem Burning ?
« on: May 26, 2003, 05:53:24 am »

All-

I am having a problem burning. Not exactly sure what the problem is, maybe an antiquated DLL ? Regardless,

the symptons are:

CD burn processes fine using the MP3 encoder, but when I listen to the tracks, after about the 5th or 6th song, I get hissing and popping sounds... towards the 8th or 9th songs, nothing at all. I have tried adding memory, disabling Norton Antivirus, but still no go.

Does anybody have an suggestions i.e. changing encoder type, burning directly to cd ?

I have had this working seamlessly in the past, after reverting back to previous program releases (nero,Media center, etc.etc), but don't want to have to go through the whole process if necessary.

Thank you much!

I assume you're doing an "audio mode" burn.
I can't think of anything that might cause this. Just to eliminate a problem with the "burn-proof" feature, try burning at 4X speed with "direct decoding" disabled and see if it makes a difference.
Could it be a hardware problem? Does your drive burn ok using other software such as Nero?
