Any reason TO or TO NOT run 64-bit Windows MC on Win 7 x64?

That's it: Any reason TO or TO NOT run 64-bit Windows MC on Win 7 x64?

Some context, if helpful. It would be a client to a Library running on a networked Linux NUC MC Library Server.

I'd go for Windows 10 as Win 7 goes out of support 14th Jan 2020 (less than a year away).

I can't comment on windows client to a Linux MC server; I'm only windows based at the moment.

64 bit MC will work as a client or server with 32 bit MC.

Thanks, Spike. I prefer to live dangerously and keep Win 7.  ;)

64 bit MC will work as a client or server wit 32 bit MC.
I perhaps gave too much info and blurred my question; is there a reason why I should run 32-bit MC on my Win 7 x64 OS?

Thanks, will try it. I have no A/V system, per se, connected to the Windows box, just a 5.1 soundcard and spkr system.

No. Assuming you have 64 bit drivers for your audio output devices.

Unless you have any 32 bit VST plugins. . . They only work on 32bit MC. I suspect this is becoming much less of an issue these days.
