No network in file location
« on: January 21, 2019, 08:39:27 pm »

Hi,had to switch to win 10 pro, because update made it so I couldn’t see net work in win explorer. Worked ok,that was my main computer. Went to use computer that I have JRiver 24 on in win 7, same thing (jriver said file could not be found and couldn't see network on that machine also. Loaded win 10 and I could see network fine, go to set up file location and in the browser, could only see computer jriver was on ,not my nas location. The weird thing, I put jriver on my main machine with exact Same build win 10, and it worked perfect! Driving me nuts!

Thanks for your time!

I don't quite follow your post (I'm not sure if it's a statement or a question).

I *think* the issue may be related to SMB v1. It might be that the windows 7 update disabled SMB v1 so you lost sight of your network. Installing Windows 10 fixed things (you could see the network again) but the NAS is running SMB v1. It doesn't quite fit the scenario you describe though. . .  ?

Could just be a firewall or drive mapping issue. . .
