Unfortunately in this case, disabling auto-update to stop the message from appearing is the recommended course of action. If I had to make a guess given the current point in time... MC 24.0.75 is likely the last MC24 build anyways, so it likely won't matter if auto-update is disabled since it won't receive anymore updates (and major MC versions don't upgrade to newer MC versions, e.g. MC24 won't automatically update to MC25 since they're technically separate apps).
However if by chance 24.0.75 isn't the last MC24 build and another build is released, manually checking for updates at random works too (though you'll probably see the message if you do that) or checking the forum from time-to-time. Simply completely disabling that message isn't really an option for JRiver right now, since Microsoft/Outlook have been blocking JRiver's emails recently and it's the only way to reach customers who are potentially interested in the MC25 upgrade but are not receiving an email about the current offer due to them being blocked. But the workaround given by JRiver is disabling auto-update if you don't wish to see the message.
