MC25 Install and Unusual Behavior
« on: April 08, 2019, 09:37:46 pm »

Hola,
A few days back I installed and opened MC25 and have experienced some unusual behavior.

First. Please clarify:  I read that MC25 will find my data.   Should this include my MC preference settings and views or just be media?

Upon opening MC25, it was an entirely unpopulated app.  None of my previous data was brought, found or imported.
I decided to post this and wait for a reply.

I then closed MC25 and reopened MC24 so I could continue music play.

MC24 no longer had any of my libraries intact.  The library manager fields were no longer pointing to their original locations.  But merely to the computers Music folder.   The locations for all libraries housed on external drives had been changed.

I also noticed that several of the items I had used on a customized toolbar were not the ones I had chosen.

This was all on a mid 2012 MacBook Pro.  I'm going to attempt the install on my older desktop iMac and see if I get similar results.

Thanks, J

Use a backup from MC24 and restore it in MC25.  MC makes backups automatically.   Search for *.zip in Finder.

Backup and Restore are under the File Menu > Library
