Cloudplay Crash Problem
« on: May 18, 2019, 12:40:33 pm »

When playing a playlist from Cloudplay, MC .40 64bit crashes. Disable audio buffer to disk is checked, and it crashed if Chromium or Internet Explorer is the default browser.

I am playing someone's downloaded playlist now in MC 25.0.40 with no problem. Which playlist are you using? I found that some older playlists did crash MC in earlier versions.

I'll move this, but it's probably not Cloudplay or MC.  Antivirus is the most likely cause.  I'll move this to a new thread.

I welcome the move, but antivirus is definitely not the cause of the crashing. I would like to know the playlist concerned so that I could download it and see if it crashes me too!

Any playlist in Cloudplay crashes on me. And I don't think it's antivirus causing it because it didn't experience it before this build. I turned off Windows Defender and it still happens, in fact, it stutters trying to play a track for about half a second then closes. I downgraded to build 25.0.38 and they play as expected, only in .40 do they crash.

I see a problem with downloaded playlists.  We'll check.  Thanks.

Try toggling both buffer settings.

I don't see a crash.  I have both checked.

JimH, I went back to .40 and both buffer settings are checked and it still crashed.

Win10?

I don't see a crash.

Try playing one of the URL's in the mpl file using File > Open URL.  Here's one that works for me:

JimH, Yes, Windows 10 64bit. Attached is the log package. I used Jim's URL method to duplicate the issue.

Thanks for the dump.  We'll have a hopeful fix for the next build.
