If you play to it via the daw then do you see output land in MC via DSP studio?
There's the rub. You cannot select JRiver 24 as an ASIO device in Samplitude (=DAW) because once the error message "Loading Failed No ASIO Driver" appears, the driver choice is negated and JRiver is not available for output. Have tried to access JRiver through the WDM and MME driver type options in the DAW but while these will output to JRiver, the signal is oddly configured -- each channel in the DAW sounds at different times.
Read carefully through the URL you sent and while it is a mastery of linkage between REW and JRiver, it does not address the inability to see the ASIO Open Live option or driver designation.
BUT the architecture here has real possibilities and, if it would work, then it would allow JRiver to speak nicely to DAWs. My goal is to use the REW convolution file created for the sound studio and placed in the JRiver DSP Convolution file window. This convolution file is a *.wav one but cannot be placed directly into my DAW (have checked with REW and there is no clear answer).
BUT(2) this convolution file could be accessed by the linkage between the DAW and JRiver and we have noted above that this does not appear to work.
Thanks again.
