Latest version of MC 25 freezes during extraction at 33% [Solved]

The latest version of MC 25 seemed to be working well until there was an update.  Then the update would freeze at 33% of the Extraction.  I uninstalled and now the new program freezes at 33% of extraction.

Any ideas of what i should try?

That kind of problem is usually caused by antivirus software.

You are correct of course.
I turned off Malwarebytes and all proceeded according to plan.
