just curious ... what people do when some ripped CD tracks are not “accurate” ... especially after few try with each try giving different hash code (likely indicating damaged CD ... if keep getting same hash but rip is not “accurate” -  likely different CD pressing)

do ppl try to buy another CD and rerip it ... or if its inaudible, ppl just accept this “inaccuracy”?

In MC, use Secure Rip.  It reads until it gets reliable data.  It's slower but better.

I don't think I've ever heard a problem with a ripped CD.  I have had CD's that couldn't be ripped, but very few.

I use EAC to rip … just habit I have before I got MC

I am already into one year of ripping my CDs … mostly because they are badly damaged … keep re-ripping until get "Accurately rip"

What is worst … CDs that are damaged are my favorite ones (hence lots of use/abuse when I was young) …

one CD has track 1 and 3 that are not accurately ripped … checked most online stores and its out of stock … checked on ebay and it has one at whooping 166USD

BUT XMas is early for me this year … had CUETools for ages and did not know it can repair rips … just tried repairing … and it works!!!! … hallelujah!!!
