Tagging does not work anymore

But it seems to be the only desktop on which I can use MC with Debian Testing.
Xfce - no reasonable tagging possible
KDE - MC is completely broken. I installed today MC 25 (before MC 24) the menu bar shows no reactions, Play buttons also not.
It is the first time in 16 years that I consider MC no longer be used.
Fine :'(

Will give it a look if time permits. We don't normally test with beta builds of operating systems

Ok, I've tested the current build 25.0.108 on bullseye in both Gnome and XFCE and there aren't any issues with tagging.
Can you give the current build a try??
BryanC:
I'm having the same issues with 25.0.108 using MATE. Lots of weird focus issues in the search box, tag editing window, etc. If you need more info, please let me know.

Yes, one very specific example that I can easily duplicate.
The ones geier22 had I can't reproduce with 25.0.108.
BryanC:
My hunch is that it must be DE specific because the issues I'm having are serious enough that they would be immediately evident to you.
Click on the search box and start typing > no characters are written>click on the search box again without clicking anywhere else and then start typing > characters are typed out
Edit tag>click a field to highlight it>click after the last letter in the entry>backspace>it backspaces one character>type a letter>no letter is typed out>click field again and type letter> letter is typed out
