Steps to reproduce:

1. Select a Categories view, such as Video > Shows, and set the top display to be Thumbnails

2. Open the file list below, and set the List Style to Details

3. Open the MCWS web service in a browser, and go to the Files > Current area

4. Select a single file from the MC file list set in step 2 above

5. In the browser, click the Click here link in the Files > Current text and save as an MPL

Examine the contents of the MPL and notice that only one file gets saved, as expected.

6. Drag the MC window by the title bar moving the window

7. Repeat step 5, saving the MPL file.

Examine the contents of this second MPL and notice that all files in the category get saved.

The moving of the MC window is resetting the selection, and this is breaking some 3rd party utilities.

This can more easily be reproduced by selecting and playing single track in MC (same type of view), examining Now Playing - a single track is present.  Click Stop.  Move the window.  Move back to your view and click Play.  All items in the group get added to Now Playing.

You can configure what the play button does in Options > General > Behavior.  I prefer it just playing Playing Now.

Did you attempt my first example?  Moving a window around should not change the selection focus.

I can't reproduce such issues with the Play button. It'll always put all currently visible files into Playing Now (as it should), and start playing the one I had selected, no matter if I drag the window in between.
The light-blue selection marker also stays present.

The issue is because the focus shifts from the list with only a few selected to the list above with everything selected.

I'm going to make a coming build of MC26 tunnel the selection request for the grouping list to the child list.  If the child list returns success, the grouping list won't do any work.

Here's the history:
Fixed: If you selected files below a grouping, then dragged the window to move it, getting the selection would get files from the top grouping list instead of the bottom list.
