Media Center as PC output device
« on: November 02, 2019, 09:23:55 pm »

It's been doing it flawlessly for a year or so but suddenly, Media Center has disappeared as an option for my output device on my PC. I can't even think of what to search for in the Wiki but I know there's a way to do it. It has just escaped my aged, addled brain.

If you mean the WDM driver (?)...

Go to Options> General> Features

There, make sure WDM driver is checked.
MC will restart and the PC might need to be too.
Hopefully that's it.

Thanks but that's already checked. I feel like I'm not being clear on what I want.
I want Youtube, Spotify and whatever else uses my PC to make sound goes through Media Center so I can use the audio features it contains.
DSP, volume, etc.
Currently, my only choice is Realtek High Definition Audio, which is anything but.

It certainly helps to know what to call things.
The WDM was already checked so I unchecked it and restarted MC. I then turned it back on and restarted it. My Media Center Option came back.
Thank you very much.
