Resently i upgraded from MC23 to MC25, and now asio exclusive dont work, i open chrome to read some news, and a video started and almost blew my speakers.. What to do?

If you're using the 64 bit version of MC, try the 32 bit version.  Your driver may be 32 bit.

Or vice versa.

My Win 10 pro is x64, and both MC23 and MC25 is x64, so why go x32?
It works fine in Wasapi mode, but my dac supports asio so?

So now i have mc23 x64, mc25 x64, mc25 x32, and it doesn't work in mc25 x64, but the other two are fine, that doesn't make any sense to me.

Some (most?) ASIO drivers are only available as 32-bit drivers, and you'd have to use the 32-bit version of Media Center to use those ASIO drivers. You can't use 32-bit drivers in 64-bit apps like the 64-bit version of Media Center on Windows.

So if the ASIO drivers are 32-bit only, you'll have to use the 32-bit version of Media Center to use them. I'd double check your MC23 install, if it's actually 64-bit it shouldn't work either if the 64-bit version of MC25 doesn't, so it might be a 32-bit install.

Think about it, there's not many 64-bit media player apps available like JRiver Media Center. foobar2000 is still 32-bit, Windows Media Player is 32-bit, Winamp is 32-bit, MediaMonkey is 32-bit, etc. so it doesn't make sense to some manufacturers to provide 64-bit ASIO drivers, though some do. I guess I lucked out in my case, because my Schiit USB DAC does provide 64-bit ASIO drivers which work in the 64-bit version of JRiver Media Center.

Are you actually using the 64-bit of Media Center 23? Because if you actually are, it really shouldn't work either... well, perhaps unless the ASIO drivers are broken somewhere or something like that. Also keep in mind, Media Center 23 was the first version with experimental 64-bit support.

Unless you're messing with 4K videos and HDR, there's really little reason to use the 64-bit version of Media Center if you're doing audio only (well, maybe memory playback beyond 4GB, but still), especially if the ASIO drivers are 32-bit only (or have broken 64-bit support, which I've seen happen too).

What's your DAC? I'll download the drivers and take a look and see if they're 32-bit only or if there's a 64-bit driver too.

My dac is Cambridge 851c with latest firmware and driver, and it should support x64.
It works fine in MC23 x64, and has done so for years.

This is funny, never have i had any problems whith MC, it always works for me, so normaly i dont reinstall anything, so i tried to reinstall everything, MC25 X64, and my driver for my dac,  IT WORKS !!
