Log File for Crashes

I have log files to share but they are always over the file size limit to post. 

Is there anyone here who knows how to answer this question other than to tell me to uninstall my AV program?

Log files won't help.

Uninstall Kaspersky.  If you don't believe it's possible for Kaspersky to be at fault, please read this thread:

Here's the original problem reported, followed by initial response:

My current version of MC25 crashes far too often to sink any more money into it.

You have a forum to upload log files but file size limit is too small, so I try to sleuth myself.  No go.

Works most of the time but craps out from time to time.  Was hoping it would act like a true server that could be on 24/7 and rock solid, but no.

Most crashes are:

1.  Antivirus software

2.  Drivers

3.  Bad files

Download and install the most recent build of MC25 first or just use the trial version of MC26.

Uninstall Kaspersky (as a test).  On Windows 10, use only Windows Defender.

I'd say the majority of crashes are indeed caused by bad files and antivirus applications. You might not think antivirus can do that, but it can. It all depends what the antivirus application it doing (e.g. DLL injection for example, which can/does cause crashes).

If it's bad files, turn off auto-import and see if it stops crashing. If it does, you've probably got bad files. Antivirus on the other hand depends on the vendor with some (*cough*Bitdefender*cough*) being worse than others.

I use Bitdefender ... never had problems (of course had to add exceptions ... quite few of them)

PS.

In [antivirus] exclude my media drives from on demand/on access scans (should exclude cover art folder too and MC program folder ... but never got around to do it)

In [advance thread defense] excluded all executables in MC folder (have to redo this for every new version)
