WDM only comes out in stereo
« on: February 08, 2020, 11:00:14 am »

Given that I only used WDM driver with REW and the last time was a few years ago so I don't remember what version of JRiver it was. Having created a new HT room, I wanted to redo the audio calibration but I can no longer force MC + WDM to exit in 5.1 despite having selected 5.1 channel output in DSP; it comes out only in stereo. As real audio output I set the receiver in both Wasapi and Direct Sound and in the win10 panel, the JRiver virtual sound card is also set to 5.1. Do I have to do anything else? Is it an MC26 bug? Thank you.

WDM is the input side.  It is like a sound card driver.

You need to set up MC to do Surround Sound.  The wiki has a topic on it.
