File import crashes MC 25 [Solved]
« on: February 09, 2020, 02:58:16 pm »

This morning I noticed that my default directories for Movies and recorded TV had somehow reverted to their old setting (D:). Since all my files have been moved to a NAS (E:), I went ahead and restored the configuration settings.

Unfortunately when MC 25 starts to import files (582 detected), it crashes. Generally it gets to around 150 before the program closes.
I tried using Auto Import instead and that crashes after about 20 files.

I am able to import successfully using MC 23. However I forgot to clean up my library so now I have duplicate copies of most movies.

I will attach the log file that I collected when the import crashed.

The last file it works on is here:
E:\Movies\Driving Miss Daisy\Driving Miss Daisy.mkv

If importing that file always crashes, would you be willing to send it to matt at jriver?

Thanks!

Unfortunately that file is really large.
I will try removing that file from the scan and see if import works.

It still crashes even without that file. I will attach an additional log file here.

Read the log.  Look near the bottom of the previouslog.txt.

We really need a crash dump.  One should get generated after a crash and be in the package when you report a problem.  Thanks.

I reinstalled MC25 and the problem has disappeared.
