1. Fixed: Possible crash during playback in rare cases.
2. Changed: Manage TV Channels tool will now show channel details (Device name, URL, etc.) of Tuner Stream channels.

7. Changed: More work on radio stations that don't play.
8. Changed: Added whitespace trimming to all the list expression functions.
9. Changed: MC as a renderer wasn't providing all of the important metadata when asked by a DLNA controller and that includes another instance of MC not actively controlling (duration, channels, sample rate, size, various artworks). This will also help with third party DLNA controllers showing metadata.

That’s the new normal from what I understand.

Thank you very much for this 26.0.94 update. It runs very well here, and the mouse over lines seems to be gone here too (non-Retina iMac, 27" end 2012 with MacOS Catalina 10.15.5, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2 GB).

Unfortunately I cannot play FLAC web streams anymore. Not from playlists and not from the menu (File -> Open URL...).
As soon as I want to play, I receive an error (see screenshot below). It works fine in version 26.0.87.

Streams to test:
FWIW, I also attached the relevant part of my system log to this message.

I'm looking forward to some advice, or to a new fixed version of course.
Thanks and keep up the good work.  8)

Those FLAC streams should hopefully be fixed for the next build!

Although I am a bit surprised that they are supposed to have worked before? I'm not sure how!

Haha yes, they've worked before. I licensed JRiver 1 month ago, starting with beta version 26.0.80. FLAC streams were working immediately, from that version on.
Probably because FLAC streams are something like FLAC bitstreams inside an OGG container?

As much as I love to bring the good news, I cheered too early in my above message. The white lines are still here (non-Retina though). It doesn't bother me that much, but I just wanted to let you know.  ;)

I still have to wonder if that's a different skin issue with List_Selection.png. I'll check later for myself and see what happens.

You might try the 'fix' by marko that I posted here for the Modern Cards: Dark Edition skin and see if the issue goes away: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,125546.msg871140.html#msg871140

Pretty sure I'm right about there being a secondary lines issue here that I encountered over a week ago that's related to skins and their List_Selection.png and Tree_Selection.png files along with retina mode (haven't been able to do it out of retina mode yet, but I suspect it's possible like above shows).

Look at the screenshot below, it's from 26.0.94 running in retina mode at a 150% size with the Modern Cards: Dark Edition skin. It may be pretty hard to see and notice, but there's light lines above the selection in the list (look at Gump, Since You've Been Gone, etc.) zoom in with a photo editor if you need to. Also happens in the tree if you look hard enough (it's hard to notice, but it's there). You might think those lines are an image compression artifact, but they're not, I see them in MC itself as they appear in the screenshot.

Bob/Matt/Hendrik, I'm nearly 100% certain these are related to skins and their List_Selection.png and Tree_Selection.png files (and perhaps some MC bug in connection with them, perhaps also with skin size and retina mode, not sure) because if you replace them from this post with the ones marko made for his modded skin, the issue completely goes away. Maybe there's an issue with the files like the colors and boundaries between them, or an issue in MC related to scaling and those files when going big or something like that, I'm not really sure. I also suspect the issue can occur in the light skins too, but because the lines are light they're VERY difficult to notice.

Because that's non-retina too it's definitely not related to what was fixed.
For certain we can start by pulling in the modded elements into the next build.

Honestly, it might be worth just pulling in all of marko's Modern Cards: Dark Edition skin mod changes, since they actually look better with his improvements. All that's really needed is to change the modded skin's name in main.xml to match the current skin.

Here, I attached the modded version of the skin ready to go to replace the existing one.

EDIT: Removed, I made a mod to it.

Okay, here, use this version to replace the existing Modern Cards: Dark Edition skin. It's the same as marko's modded skin except I updated main.xml and reverted his DisplayFont size change to match the other skins' default size (so it wouldn't look different compared to the others as somebody was bound to mention/complain about it, so I reverted it to match the others).

I've had a problem with this for a few weeks now and also with this version:

A new problem with file transfer. I left a message on the Linux version that has not been answered and now I have this problem on the Mac version. The message "None of the tracks can be transferred. Common errors include insufficient rights" appears every time I try to transfer files to an export folder. It appears with all kinds of albums. I just tried with about a hundred bootlegs and it didn't let me transfer any of them.

You are trying to copy them to USB device setup as a handheld I assume?
What is the format of the USB media you are trying to copy to?

Thank you for answering. The export is to a folder in the same Drobo 5C volume where the music library is located. This is a HFS+ formatted volume, not a DAP MP4 or any other type of electronic device.

Ok thanks. What's a Drobo 5C?

Also, if you would turn on logging under Help->Logging just before trying the copy and after it doesn't work, go back into logging and do "Report Problem" it will create a zipfile that you can then email to me bob (at) jriver (dot) com.

Drobo 5C its a external volume https://www.drobo.com/storage-products/5c/ That's the first thing I've answered. It's connected by usb-c to the Mac. But it doesn't matter. If I point the export folder to an internal hdd folder the same thing happens.

The path is /Drobo 5C/Thecus Export or /Users/letra/Music/Thecus Export

I wrote them by hand because that only transferred cover.jpg renamed to folder.jpg

Ok, so you are not transferring any music files?

For example in your log I see:
Duke Ellington's sound of love - Archivo no soportado

None. No ripped albums, no normal flacs, no mp3 bootlegs.

You are ONLY trying to transfer those image files??
I guess what I'm trying to ask and not doing a good job on is:

Are you NOT trying to transfer music files?

The whole folder I suppose. In the album view I look for the bootlegs with comment "JZM" for example, select all and drag to sync device.

Ok but you need to add the file types for the Music you are trying to transfer to that Supported Types list.
So like:
jpg;jpeg;png;pdf;txt;nfo;mp3;flac

Normally, by default that list is * so it copies everything.

That's right. Thank you very much. That was the fault. It was missing flac and mp3 for example. Now what I don't know is why it stopped transferring other files when it was marked *.* . And in "copy, move, rename" why that stopped moving the artwork.

It should have just been * by itself, not *.*

Not sure about the copy, move, rename. We could look at the thread if you still can't get it to work.

It's a general problem in mac and linux. And from what I see the solution we just tried has not been a complete success either. That transferred the mp3 files but not the artwork:

That’s the new normal from what I understand.

But why? It's a terrible new normal. Who complained about one space between words?

Hi, I'm having a major problem with this new version (26.0.94) that I did not have with the previous builds, the JRiver windows keep locking up, I can't move them or interact with the windows.  I'm using Mac OS X Catalina 10.15.5.  I can still access the menu items, but I have to constantly restart JRiver to get my tasks done.

It's happening each time I use the system.   The problem seems to happen right after I run the Library Tool "Rename, Move & Copy Files" to rename the file names.   I have to do this every time I add an album to my library since this library is used in my car (Mercedes) and I must generate unique file names for each song otherwise the car players gets confused when it reads songs with the same filename which happens all time with cover songs or songs by different artists with the same name (yes it's stupid that Mercedes implemented their media player this way -- JRiver renaming has been a Godsend!)

Like I mentioned I've never had this issue before 26.0.94.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

You may have another MC window open behind the player.  It shouldn't happen but check for it and close it.

Not sure what's causing it, but Mac has a nice way of getting around the problem. Cmd-`  (command key plus backquote, right above the tab key) cycles through windows in one app. That will let you get to the window that's causing the problem.

That is a great hint. I’ve been wondering for a while how to accomplish this. Thanks very much!
