Are all the files stored locally on the computer running auto-import? Or are your files maybe on a NAS?

Network traffic as in Internet access, or perhaps it's all on Localhost?

If it's localhost traffic (PC talking to itself), it may be traffic between MC components, or it can also be your antivirus reading and checking the files as they are accessed.

That said, I also see huge traffic from my NAS when importing files, and I'm not sure why. This makes importing lots of files quite slow.

I have my AV disabled for video/audio files, and all import options such as Analyze/GetInfo/etc are disabled, so I'm not sure what MC is doing to generate this much traffic. It's possible it has to do with getting basic info about the file (resolution, codec, etc), but this shouldn't generate hundreds of MB of traffic as it currently does.

It was not antivirus, it showed up in task manager as belonging to MC.

That is an AWS server, and it looks like it has some none-too-reputable domains on it.

You might block that IP at your router on in Windows firewall and see what happens.  It's possible you have a trojan on your PC.

Which none-too-reputable domains are you referring to? I only see one warning for adult content.

There are over a thousand domains associated with any given AWS CloudFront IP, I don't think you can draw any conclusions from that.
It may even be the CloudFront instance that Amazon uses for the JRiver content in some regions. I get different IPs, but it may be region-dependent.

Lyrics, Amazon, Cloudplay are all turned off (I hope).

Lyrics lookup is unchecked under audio import.

Amazon is not shown in the tree per services setting. I hope that shuts it up. If there is another setting for that pls let me know.

Cloudplay: streaming is unchecked under interface, does that relate to Cloudplay? I also removed all default rules under general cloudplay settings. That kills it?
