1. Changed: Activate the buses of VST3 effects, possibly making more work.
2. Changed: Enabled automatic retry in 30 to 60 minutes of SiliconDust EPG loading so that we would not miss a daily reloading due to not having discovered the DLNA tuners yet.
3. Fixed: When using SiliconDust EPG, all programs were classified as "new".  Now re-runs will be properly treated as re-runs.
4. Optimized: EPG loading (including SiliconDust, MC2XML, XMLTV, and Perc Data modes) is significantly faster.
5. Optimized: Processing TV for EPG loading and the like runs less often.
6. Optimized: Standard Television view loads significantly faster, especially if the lists of channels and programs are large.

1. NEW: When the language for the system is Japanese, that will be the default translation used (instead of English).

4. NEW: (Experimental) MC allows "Beyonwiz V2" device to be treated as a DMS TV tuner.

1. Changed: Added an information message box to inform the user after DLNA is enabled during SiliconDust EPG setup, that it is a good idea to restart MC before re-attempting EPG setup.
2. Changed: Blocked TV recording on DMS tuners since it has not been implemented properly, to prevent crashes.  Windows only.  On non-Windows recording is already no-op.
3. Fixed: Spelling error.  On Load Program Guide window, the word "everyday" is changed to "every day".
4. Changed: The program no longer pauses a playing video when clicking to activate the program from another program.

1. Changed: MC will show a better error message when it fails to download EPG data, especially from SiliconDust.
2. NEW: Added the web service function File/GetPlaylists to get a list of playlists for a given file.
3. Changed: Respond to a Playlist/Build call with the new playlist ID.
4. NEW: The genre, artist, album, composer, track #, and name are read from the iTunes database during import (so files don't need to be tagged for those fields).
5. NEW: MC will parse <episode-num> element with system="onscreen" attribute in XMLTV files more smartly so it will pick up season number and episode number, in particular from SiliconDust EPG.
6. Changed: MC will reload TV channel logos during EPG loading (if EPG data file contains the logo images) if previous image file is missing.

1. Changed: MC will query HDHomeRun devices for the number of tuners, instead of using hard-coded values, for a more accurate count.

3. Changed: MC will classify a show as "movie" if the XMLTV puts it in a category of "Television movie" or "Cinema movie".

Moving a folder with a freshly tagged album to a new location (folder contains audio files and associated image files)

Media Center 'claims'        folder.jpg already exists: skip, replace, cancel
Since the new folder did not exist prior, how can it contain a file with the same name?

It does this only with image files, not the audio files.
It does it on each album if moving more than one.
It is not limited to folder.jpg, but also cover.jpg and others.
It existed prior to this build, but passed it off as an anomaly.

One error or this error was occur way earlier. When adding lyrics to some songs, some fields which is artist related change the value from another whithout any reason.

In spite of having the option checked for "Fix broken links (Protect files on missing drives)"

when my mapped network media library drive is OFFLINE, Media Center removes ALL the files on that drive from my library.

Major problem because my entire FLAC library resides there, and only some mp3's reside on my laptop.

Double check your settings.  A network location can be represented two different ways.

Media Center was pointed to the 'local drive' which is mapped to a folder on the server.
I will try replacing that with the full UNC address and test it next time the drive is offline.

Changing to the UNC address seems to have solved this.

In case it matters, I'm experiencing this in portable install mode.

Options > Handheld > Conversion > Audio > Mode ... does not retain setting. I can choose any of the four options (the drop-down menu itself works fine) and click Okay. However, upon returning, the setting will always be reverted to the previous setting. In other words it can't be changed. In my case, for some reason, it's stuck on "Specified output format only when necessary". Also of note: the page defaults to one particular device of four, instead of recalling the most recently used device page.

In contrast...

Tree > Drives & Devices > (my displayable device name here, e.g., iPhone X) > Options > Conversion > Audio > Mode ... does retain setting its as expected. So, everything's fine if mode selection is made via this route. I haven't compared any other Handheld device-related settings, using the two different routes.

After using full UNC addresses, with my network drive offline, MC keeps saying:
"Media Center encountered errors tagging or moving files. Check that the files exist are not read-only, and are not in use by other programs".

Why is it attempting to perform any tagging (never mind MOVING!!!) when I did nothing to initiate anything?  And it appears to be going through the entire collection

I simply started my laptop, opened MC, and began to play Radio Paradise when these messages began popping up for no reason known to me.

Select from menu: Tools>Options>Library & Folders>Auto-Import and "uncheck"  box adjacent to- Run auto-import in background.
Please also look at options within ...Configure auto-import...

This should stop activities you described and illustrate control available - depending on how you wish to manage your library.

Although I always turn that off when I first setup my libraries, somehow this was turned on.
