I am having trouble with my new Michi P5 preamp DAC. The good news is that it handles DSD 256 no problem. It is irregular, when playing PCM, and will sometimes say that 24/192 files are just 24/44.1. At times, it also incorrectly says that 16/44.1 files are 24/44.1 files.
I have already turned off the DSP studio settings completely. It doesn’t happen on all files, just some. On one song it initially says 24/192, but then within a few seconds drops down to 24/44.1
I emailed Rotel to ask about this. Has anyone else had similar troubles with a different DAC?
