Whenever I try restarting my intel mac mini (latest Big Sur) I get this popup which cancels the restart and have to always click 'retry' before it works. I run the Media Server.  Is it possible you fix this so it exits gracefully and a restart works as expected?

Has this always been an issue or is it new?

dfortney:
It has always been an issue... and it still is.

Working on that, mostly there.
I can deal with shutdown and restart now.
On logout, I leave Media Server running, I COULD shut it down then as well but it seems like if the user is running Media Server they probably want it running on logout as well.
Just need to deal with startup when MacOS is set to re-open apps that were running before.

I noticed the mini player has the display window in the lower left corner still "attached" to it if it's visible when switching to mini view. Sorry if the screenshot is too big, feel free to delete
