JRiver replaces cd covers
« on: April 04, 2021, 10:09:26 am »

Some cd covers are being replaced by the software.
Then again and again after I fix it.

How to disable JRiver from doing that?

JRiver won't replace your covers unless you tell it to.

If you're on a client, you either need to update cover art on the server or turn on authentication on the server so you can sync changes from the client.

Not sure I understand.
JRiver is installed on pc, probably what you call the server.
The files are on NAS.
Every album has a folder.jpg file. Covers are never inside the music files.

The covers shown on JRiver are different than the folder.jpg. Have no idea
where they come from. In order to restore the correct folder on JRiver view
I have to do Delete Cover Art from the album in JRiver, delete the albu, from
JRIver and load it again.

What do mean by "update cover art on the server" ?
How do I turn on authentication on the server?

Adding cover art when connected to a remote library even on the same network has never worked for me the 2 years I've used MC this way. I'm authenticated so I can make tag changes/delete, but not add cover art no matter how much I've tried.

Check Tools>Options>File Locations>Cover Art>Audio Mode and ensure that cover art in Folder is the selected option. You probably have MC set to store the cover art in a folder under your user name so it won't look for any folder.jpg files and will happily find some cover art for you.
