Invalid License
« on: January 14, 2003, 11:34:12 am »

OK...I really liked this software until I had to reinstall it on a new computer.

I followed the instructions for MJ8, used my registration code to get a restore, which was promptly mailed to me by the system, and was promptly handed an "Invalid License" when I went to use it.

Make sure you're using the current version of MJ.

That was it.

There should be a better error message for this. How about "License invalid.  Your current Media Jukebox version may not be up to date for this key. "

It was a bug in the code, thats why it would not work, it had nothing to do with that version being old.

Bugs may be lame to you, but it has been a fact of life since i think 1955 when the first bug was found in a computer.

It happens.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!  It was a bug.  OK...I guess I deserve the facetious remark about bugs....

That makes a big difference.  I can accept a bug...the software is otherwise fantastic.

Sorry about the butt-headedness.

Except, of course, he wasn't being facetious.
