Can i use JRiver to stream files to volumio via UPnP?
« on: August 11, 2021, 03:30:38 am »

Hi

Can i use JRiver to stream files to volumio via UPnP?

I am using foobar with UPnP plugin to stream audio to my Raspberry Pi. But I wanted to try JRiver. And I cant find an option to do this. I found only options to turn JRiver into a streamer.

Thanks

Yes.  Read the Media Network and DLNA topics on our wiki.

Yes i read this:
https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/DLNA

As You can see in this prtscr. Foobar has my UPnP device visible
And JRiver doesnt.
Also i shared my settings. Is something is wrong in them?

I wanted To use JRiver as a "proxy" to route all audio from windows to my RasPI using WDM Driver. Is this possible?

Maybe this will help?

No, the WDM driver doesn't work over DLNA or anything like that.

Did you turn on Media Network in MC's options?

Yes. I found the problem.
It was the firewall :D Now jriver sees my raspi.

But I cant use it just like i wanted. To route out all my windows audio to it.
I can only find an option to play files directly from jriver.

As mentioned before, the WDM driver won't/can't work this way unfortunately.
