DLNA using Sonore Signature Rendu
« on: March 16, 2022, 03:09:11 pm »

I apologize for the question.  I'm sure the answer is in the wiki somewhere but I can't find a quick answer that makes sense to me.

I installed a new ASUS router and two AP satellites today.  Everything works except MC over DLNA to my Rendu.  Roon works fine as well (switch back and forth between DLNA and Roon in the Rendu app).

MC won't find the Rendu.  In addition, another computer on the network (with MC installed) can't find my my music library on my main MC server computer.  I used IP Address:52199 (the IP address of my server library has been verified using IP scan, etc.).  The other item of note, my two samsung tv (connected to the network) see the Sonore when in DLNA network.  I'm assuming it's a port issue but I'm I just don't understand the process enough at the moment to resolve the issue quickly.

The ASUS router configure provides two Port configuration options: Port Trigger, and Virtural Server/Port Forwarding.  The router does have some firewall settings which I have shut off at the moment.  Nothing on MC server computer or set up changed.  The only change was my new router.

Again, I know I'm short circuiting the process here but am at a bit of a loss for the moment.

Thanks!!!

If it happened when the new router was installed, then it may be a firewall on the router.

Thank you.  I have every firewall setting off.

Pretty sure, went through the settings one-by-one.  Anything else I can try?

Thanks all.  Sorry to bother the regularly schedule program.  Figured it out, it was a defender issue.  Weird since I always do the taming defender steps.  Tools>options>Media Network>un-click Use Media Network to Share this Library>re-click the same.  Defender asked if access is to be allowed, said yes and the Rendu showed up.

Thanks again.  It's a tricky world this network thing.
