I would never want to explain this in my own words. And I know a few other four, five or six letter words (english, french, italian or german). Otherwise I would be banned from this forum.

Would it be possible to make the icon a little bit mor acceptable in front of a coloured background?
Otherwise I should create my own pixels. And it would not be very hard to beat the todays result.

now i understand you are talking about the new Media Center icone, to me it's not bad but i like things more complicated and complexe, i like the "old" icone much more

I'd definitely prefer the old icon.
Just a more 'modern' version of it.
Have it re-drawn in pastels or bold bright colours.
The old icon was just dull that was it's only problem.

The old icon was an eye-catcher on the desktop, the new one you search for it all the time, especially on bluish wallpapers.

You may blend the new icon and the old one into one.

Even with custom install you do not get a icone in the tollsbar...i just DID not see it ...

The old icon was great back in the win95 days... it just looks "dowdy" (Matt's going to slap me) in comparison to most modern icons, though.

The new logo... well... it's interesting. It's kind of like a... um... a.... well, what IS it, anyway?

Jaguu, that was darn good! And darn is a four letter word, so they can be used for more than negative feedback. Actually I tried with an m instead of the r, but that got zapped by the board...

Zevele, keep up the spirit. If the analysts are correct, it'll be a short and pretty tidy war. And I'm sure it will feel god to have that maniac out of your back yard (not Bush, Saddam!). One thing that should be a bit of a comfort to you guys is that Saddam's rockets hasn't been upgraded since the last time (and they were pretty outdated even then), while the anti-rocket systems has made giant leaps.
