Media Server seems to shut down sometimes (Solved)
« on: May 22, 2022, 03:31:31 am »

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this.

In previous versions when I am done with MC for awhile I can close it and Media Server remains open (For remote and network access etc...)

With V. 20  (Currenly 20.0.50) the media server seems to sometimes shut down after a few minutes?

But not all the time.  Only sometimes.  Unfortunately I mostly notice it when I get to the car and try to connect to play music.  When I get back the Media Server is no longer running.

Unfortunately there is no error message or anything to draw on.

In the startup options, you probably need to change the setting for what happens on Windows start.

So just thought I should mention.  I struggled with this issue through multiple versions of JRiver.  Recently I upgraded my computer.  Replaced most of the major components.

I no longer have this issue.  I now believe there must have been an issue with the network adapter on the previous motherboard.

It's really great to be able to stream my DSD and other high res files directly to my Yamaha receiver without interruption.
