Ripping CDs
« on: August 23, 2022, 02:56:38 pm »

I recently tried to rip a CD in MC29 and rip speed reported was 0.2x ?  First track took 20 minutes to rip. During the second track I kept getting error message "unknown error from encoder". I am running Windows 11 and the CD is new. This never happened in previous versions of MC running on Windows 10. Please help....

Did you try rebooting?

Antivirus?

Did you try other CD's?

Did you change any encoder settings?

I did not change encoder settings. Should I? Tried other brand new CDs but problem remains
I loaded MC29 on a Win10 machine thinking it could be a Windows problem but still had slow rip speeds and encoder error messages.
