In MC 9.0.124 thread, it said .VOB files were supported.  However, when I attempt to play .VOB files I personally ripped from DVDs I own, MC just says 'Ah what?' (or "Please select file to play.").

Does MC support VOB files or not (unencrypted ones)?

These same ripped VOB files are played back fine with WinDVD.

I am guessing that the kind of features that make MJ great at music (eg ripping and compression) will be with held from MC due to DMCA legislation correct ??

I cant see how you can include any ripping / encoding functions without violating the CSS and in turn coming under risk of fire ??

Shame... A DVD jukebox is one area where you could really step ahead of the competition.
