I'm still using Media Center 29, which had been working flawlessly UNTIL the latest Windows 10 (stealth) upgrade. Now, I get the following error prompt: "Playback could not be started on the output ‘Wasapi’ using the format ’48 kHz 2ch’. The mixing format of your hardware does not support the current output format. Please use the ‘Output Format’ tool in DSP Studio to convert to the mixing format listed below. Sample rate – 44100 Hz, Channels – 2, Bits per sample – 32." I followed the instructions and it did NOT solve the problem. In fact, the DSP Studio menu options no linger align with the suggested settings. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling JRiver and, again, nothing happened. My sound card works with all other applications, so there's no issue there. It appears that [major] Windows updates can disrupt how JRiver functions. My first choice is to fix the problem, but my patience is wearing thin and I'm starting to look for alternatives. That said, I have a HUGE music archive -- all files labeled with field details and accompanying album graphics. Such details never translate to other applications, so my first choice BY FAR is to salvage JRiver. Would an upgrade to Media Center 30 accomplish anything? I tend to doubt it. Any suggestions? PLEASE...?
