Not playing tracks [Solved]
« on: February 11, 2023, 09:05:37 am »

Hi.

I'm still on JRiver 29, and running Windows 11. Having booted up today, I opened JRiver. Library appears as normal. I select an album to play, then hit play. It loads up the first track at 0.00, and then sticks. No playback. I've tried reinstalling JRiver, and get the same problem. No playback. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

What are you playing to?  Try power cycling everything.

I'd like to play to anything! But if I click on an album or a single track it opens, but then doesn't play. For example, the track time shows 0.00/3.40, but just stays at 0.00.

More details might help.

I've clicked play, and this is all I get. See the 0.00 at the start of the track. This doesn't start to count up, and the track won't play. Whichever track/album I choose, it opens the track but won't play it.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled JRiver 29 and it's still doing the same thing ...  :-\

Sounds like your audio output device.  Try the null renderer to test that theory.

No, there doesn't seem to be any way to get the track to play. When I press 'Play' (Triangle) the icon changes to 'Pause (II), but the track doesn't even start to play. It just remains at 0.00. And when I press II it changes back to the Play triangle. but still no movement.

You haven't told us anything about what type of files, OS, where they are located, audio device, connection type.

Sorry, I'm a bit new to all the lingo stuff. It's on Windows 11. However, I've just rolled back the Windows system restore point a couple of days, and it's working again, so |I guess I made some mistake adding an app or something. Anyway, I can play music again, which is the main thing. Thank you for looking!
