Hi,

My setup is as follows:

JRiver on Windows laptop.
Remote library on Marantz NA6006 (USB disk attached)

Library is populated OK , I can see all entries under Artist and Album options of library. I can also use JRiver to control Marantz remotely successfully. However I can't play flac files in JRiver. It either hangs or gives playback error.

I tried to understand why this happens. Ended up in the fact that JRiver sees the remote files URLs like this:

http://192.168.0.228:8015/m-177ddcec-4067-f2dc-148f-ec60c92ca857/t-6922

Which means the URL is probably not full and there is no file extension in place.

I use no-conversion approach (pure audio) .

My setup works well with other software (AK Connect, bubbleUPNP), so it is not a network or firewall issue.

What can be wrong?

Is port 8015 open?

What happens if you add an extension?

Are the same files playable in Bubble?  Using DLNA and not some other protocol?

Can you play local files to it?

Hi,

Yes, 8015 is open.
I tried to open in browser and if I add extension the file is not playable, probably some part of URL is missing too.
Yes, the same files from the same HDD are playable via Bubble and AK Connect (Astell & Kern DLNA solftware) exactly via DLNA.

I can use JRiver to play local files and to play files on Marantz to Marantz.

Thank you.

And by the way, mp3 files can be played well, flac and others are not. Again, no-conversion mode, so I don't understand this issue.
