MJ and EAC - digital secure ripping
« on: February 25, 2003, 01:44:08 pm »

Does MJ's "digital secure" ripping mode use EAC (http://www.exactaudiocopy.de).  The theory seems very similar and will save me an external step in my ripping process.

It doesn't use EAC, but the level of quality should be the same.

Thanks Jim - love your work.  I'm now running MC9. build 119. Super-excited about hairstyle.  Keep it coming.

Does MC also provide for logging problems during the rip process ... leastwise, letting you know "errors had occurred!"??  EAC is very good for letting you know how to listen for possible sampling problems.

Yes, MC provides a log of the ripping outcome at the end of the process.

How about incorporating CUE sheet support? Any chance of seeing that? I'd love to ditch EAC and use MC for everything.
