Issue Ripping CD - Particularly Last Track
« on: April 28, 2023, 07:29:30 pm »

I've encountered a small handful of classical CDs that, when ripping (particularly the final track it seems), the ripping process slows down to crawl, the player makes a lot of strange sounds as it tries to read the CD information; then when I playback that final track in JRiver, the sound is choppy & distorted.  Has anyone encountered this before?  Is there a way to resolve it?  And if I delete the problem file(s) from my HDD and JRiver, is there a way to try and re-rip just that track?  JRiver recognizes the CD and tells me that it has already been ripped.

Thanks
John

Or it could be dirty/damaged CD's - that slowing down of the drive and the noise it's making are usually indications that the Drive is having problems reading the CD
